Problem with Consist Editor

Goku,

I am having trouble accessing the consist editor on your great program. When I run the bat file to start the editor a window fashes on the screen and then the program bombs out. I have tried this with several different releases of the program and it happens on all of them. I am running Windows 7 professional with 16 gb. of ram. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have 64 bit or 32 bit windows?
You have to first open EXE file. Does it work?
If yes, then open .bat file in notepad and check if the EXE filename is correct.

I have a friend who has problems starting the Consist Editor.
The first window opens and when you click on Load, the program crashes.
The same goes for the Route Editor.

I think that TSRE crashes because of faulty ACT file.

"c:/users/emilio/msts/routes/vallarizasoria/activities/tren postal 19953.act"
converting to UTF16
#ACT - undefined token: "v"
#ACT - undefined token: "t"

Try to remove it.

My friend tells me that the problem was resolved by removing the .act file

I installed TRES 5 v0.698.1 . The consist editor is opening and I am even able to build a new consist . But after building when I try to save it , it doesn't save. Please help!!!

after making your consits, click on file then save. other question, where is TSRE installed?

What is the FULL path to your TS install? As in D:\1MSTS or C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator?

If it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator, then Windows Security is not allowing the files to be saved in that location and is saving them elsewhere. Solution: Move your TS install outside of the Program Files folder.
