I have tried various increments including your recommended settings and the track is still offset from center of terrain. Sometimes it is to the left and sometimes to the right.

I have been trying to learn about Cuttings and Embankments, and have observed that the terrain is offset to the tracks when I press the F key. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I am jumping back into route building and am stumped trying to get HGT terrain data to load properly. I followed Goku's instructions and downloaded my HGT data from EarthExplorer.
