I have started a new route and when I load this ready to start all the terrain is black!!!!

Could some kind person explain where I have gone wrong please.

Brand new laptop running Windows10 64bit and 512GB ssd hard drive also both UMD and GForce graphics on board.

If I load one of MSTS basic routes everything shows in colour

Where do you have your content installed?
If it's in a Windows folder, like programs or programs(86), windows may prevent TSRE from writing terrain textures to the route folder.
TSRE will show missing textures as black. OR shows them as white.
It's highly recommended to install MSTS content to the root of your drive, C:/MSTS is just one example.

I have MSTS installed in root directory folder C:/0001MSTS which worked fine on my desktop!

Can you open the route in OR?
You may have to create a short path using Trackviewer.
If so does the logfile tell you anything?
When you installed TSRE did it have internet access so it could download all of the install files?
Try a fresh install of TSRE. It may be missing the default terrain texture for some reason.

Make sure you have Terrain.ace and Microtex.ace in your Terrtex folder. Both get called.

Thanks all for your help and in the finish I downloaded and installed the program again and I now have my green grass on the terrain
