Highlighting an engine gives the wrong power

I have HP as the "max. power" in all of my eng files. ( like this:- MaxPower ( 2200hp ) )

In tsre5 you are showing the 2200 as kW.

I have checked 5 engines and the bug is with all 5.

cheers
Derek

Hummmmm

0.6975 displays MaxPower ( 4300Hp )
as
2949 kw

Not 4300 kw

Note: ALL Imperial values converted to Metric. NOT acceptable.

4300hp should display as 4300 hp and 70mph as 70 mph

FYI Changing #useImperial = false in settings.txt
to
useImperial = true
does not work values still converted to Metric for display.

Are you sure. I don't see conversion function for hp in any released version of TSRE ...

YES I am sure. Here are the lines from the ENG file and below a pic of the portion of TSRE-CE. Note that the Wagon line matches the file name displayed and MaxPower ( 4400hp ) is displayed 3282 kw and MaxVelocity ( 80mph ) is displayed 128km/h.

Wagon ( ac4400_bnsf5694 )
Type ( Diesel )
MaxPower ( 4400hp )
MaxForce ( 800.7kN )
Comment ( 182,000lbf )
MaxContinuousForce ( 645kN )
MaxVelocity ( 80mph )

There was a conversion from mph to kmh but never from hp to kW.
Maybe there is another field with kW definition?

Yes. Found the second MaxPower line while you were posting.

So TSRE is displaying MaxPower as kw without reguard as to what type measurement is used.

FYI searched for second MaxVelocity line but found none. So why is TSRE converting and displaying MaxVelocity ( 80mph ) as 128 km/h?

Because it should be converted. Better show proper value than false value.
Since .698 hp is also converted to kW.

Of course there should be option to disable values in imperial/us units, but when? I don't know.

??????? Don't see .698 hp nor understand what you are referring to. What does it have to do with converting 80 mph to 128 km/h?

TSRE uses standard units internally, so all values are converted to standard units on load.

Hp is an exception, because it wasn't supported unit by TSRE.

Where are these so called "standard units" defined? The Engine/Wagon reference document issued with MSTS defined MaxVelocity as a default value of 100 mph not km/h that implied that the "standard" for Velocity was mph.
