To modify ace textures for winter you only need RouteRiter and a graphics program. Kuju had decided to use the Goode homolosine projection in the development of the MSTS.

Raster Image Z18 is High Resolution with 143 Frames.
Raster Image Z17 is Low Resolution with 42 Frames.
I use z18 for tiles where the route goes through and Z17 where the route is remote.
